FAQs

  • You can fill out the singles inquiry form, which is linked on the “About” and “Date the Cape” tabs of the website as well as in our instagram bio: https://instagram.com/whocouldlovethem

  • You do not need to participate in the docuseries to be matched. Fel offers paid matchmaking services to all who are interested, and this dating pool is significant due to all the contacts made since recruitment started January 2025.

People on the show get matchmade for free, which is a perk of being on camera.

  • You will be contacted by Fel to do a screening interview if you submit a form during a time period when she is actively checking for new additions to the dating pool. You can always fill out the contact form on our website or send a DM if you don’t hear from us but are eager to be involved in the production.

  • You sign a likeness release before your zoom screening which allows us full rights to use any documented footage of you for the project. You can always opt out of future filming, but anything already filmed might still be included in the production.

  • Due to our current lack of any significant production funds there is no set timeline for beginning and ending filming on the Cape. At the moment we’re setting up dates / singles events at a much slower rate than an average dating show would simply because we lack resources to produce a high-quality show in a timely manner.

Things could change if we make a deal with a production company / streaming platform, get a huge donation, win a grant, or hit the lottery.

  • The intention is for future seasons to take place in various other small towns with uniquely challenging dating scenes.

  • Fel has screened a substantial number of singles and only a select few will be set up on dates and featured. You not being contacted yet does not mean you have not been selected. You can always reach out in the meantime if you want to say hi and remind us you’re eager.

We will also have at least one singles event in the first half of 2026, which, if you want to attend, will be filmed and footage from this will be used for the project as well.

  • Fill out our contact form if you’re aware we are operating on a shoestring budget and still want to be of help!

  • Yes! We will gladly partner with local businesses to spread awareness of your brand and use your space for production.

  • This question is a great one, but it’s actually still up in the air as we still are figuring out the best distribution plan.

With no streaming network currently on board, there is some benefit to making more of a short-form web series (maybe even vertical) so that people scrolling on their phones can stumble upon WCLT and subscirbe for more.

The current plan is to film a 20 minute-ish pilot, but in the meantime you might see more reels and shorter content to attempt to build a following and try out different things along the way as we go.
